My system was always up to date, it's installed over 1 year ago, not sure how some of these old updates appeared, maybe it's because I used mentioned tool. I used program Windows 8 Manager to run some fixes, and did registry cleaning, and this is the first time I used any tuning tool and I never had any need for it, but I didn't have any idea what else to do.

I recently started to encounter this issue, not sure how it started, but WU refused to install and even download any update. SFC corruptions can be seen in my cbs log and I would like also to sort that out if possible. The error I'm getting is Code 80070bc9, except for KB2538243 where I get error Code 64C.

The optional updates which are failing are: Other three are Update for Windows 8.1 for 圆4-based Systems (KB3035583), Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538243) and Update for Windows 8.1 for 圆4-based Systems (KB2962409). That update is Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538242). I'm using Windows 8.1 圆4.ġ of 4 important shows like installed but after checking for updates again, it's listed again. I have 4 important updates and 2 optional which fails to install. I would like to ask for some assistance regarding Windows Update problem and some sfc corruption which I found when trying to troubleshoot WU problem.
